Neda, I hear you. The siren that
         Even bullets could not stop
Even the veil could not hide
         Even police could not restrain
Even so-called Supreme Leaders could not dictate
Even Oppression itself could not supress
         The rhythm we march to
         The mantras we chant to
         The face we look to:
         The future

They try so hard to silence you
They try so hard to ignore you
They pretend, so foolishly, to forget...

         We will never forget,
         Neda

This is for Neda Sultan. The young Iranian protester who was shot and killed a couple days ago by the Basij militia.
Her name meant "divine voice" or "the calling".

If you are at all concerned about the state of affairs in Iran, and happen to have a Facebook account, please join my group "I Bleed Green" it is a group for solidarity with the Iranian struggle.

Thank you.

There are many poems created about the martyr, Neda. This is by far, the best one I have ever read. It gives me chills every time I read it. Bravo!
It is wonderful that you have been able to use your gift to express such an important cause. God Bless You!
